Proponemos la elaboración de un proceso creativo singular que nos permita abordar los proyectos de manera honesta. Buscamos limpiarnos de nuestros vicios recurrentes; queremos entrar desde un punto que se desvela, un «punto cero», sin prejuicios y abiertos a recibir. Este proceso nos ha permitido ganar libertad en el pensamiento y en nuestro quehacer; en él, exploramos y valoramos. Esto permite que el escenario específico se convierta en una gran voz y que sea este el que nos brinde las respuestas necesarias para afrontar cada problema.

Conceptualmente, es un baño de realidad. Lo hemos llamado de distintas maneras: agotamiento espacial, inmersión sensible o levantamiento creativo. Son lecturas de los recursos, del medio ambiente, del territorio, de la vida humana y del pensamiento.

Esta forma de abordaje se ha convertido en nuestra metodología procesual. Buscamos llegar a la médula del encargo para que se desarrolle desde su propio carácter. Para conseguirlo, utilizamos herramientas de lectura de lo auténtico, algo que se descubre en una evolución lenta. Nos permitimos esos espacios de tiempo; examinamos los aspectos circunstanciales y contextuales que acompañan las ideas. Como acción posterior, estas convergen en sustancias: por medio de simplificaciones, se llega a conceptos característicos y, en función de ello, se potencializan las ideas encontradas.

Las relaciones directas con los implicados nutren nuestro acompañamiento; todas las experiencias enriquecen potencialmente la propuesta. Los proyectos se definen desde la complejidad de la información, uniendo la constelación de ideas halladas. Siempre se trata de una interpretación de pistas con coherencia creativa.

Nos interesan los eventos y sucesos que nos permitan elevar las ideas. En este andar, transitamos por dos situaciones: los conceptos etéreos y la realidad reveladora. Es necesario prestar atención a ambas condiciones, ya que nos aportan múltiples ingredientes. Ambas son altamente estimulantes y funcionan como motores que nos brindan los componentes necesarios para canalizar las ideas. Por lo tanto, tratamos estos ambientes como si fuesen una verdadera «escena del crimen»: buscamos realizar un acto forense en cada encargo, identificando detalles esenciales. El proceso creativo se convierte, entonces, en una herramienta que nos permite contar una historia —un relato propio— sobre la base de insumos y anhelos compartidos.

Hay datos que son reconocibles, pero también hay información en la que nos sumergimos para explorar lo profundo, lo oculto y lo desconocido. Nuestra misión es desvelar, evidenciar y, sobre todo, comprender lo que estamos haciendo. Nos interesa el registro para poner en evidencia las sutilezas, las complejidades y las especificidades, actuando como intérpretes que acompañan los procesos de los clientes.

Nuestros roles son: soñar para nutrir, escuchar sin pausa, conversar para empatizar, debatir para revelar, dibujar para encontrar lo oculto y habitar el sitio para digerirlo, entre otros actos que realizamos desde el mismo punto a intervenir.
Es fundamental la vivencia constante del lugar: estar ahí, habitarlo. Conocer el contexto, las lógicas humanas, las condicionantes y cualquier hecho relacionado con los implicados o la región nos permite estar siempre en sintonía. Por ello, es imperativo empaparse de la mayor cantidad de información para establecer lo sustancial. Desde hace algunos años nos enfocamos en esto; recientemente hemos afianzado estas lógicas de aproximación y las hemos desarrollado en cada oportunidad.

Es como un disparador que nos abre un abanico de posibilidades y nos permite transitar la arquitectura de una manera más holística. Por momentos, este enfoque nos lleva a los límites de la arquitectura y nos hace pensar por fuera de la disciplina, acercándonos a otras especialidades. Esto nutre y hace florecer nuestra curiosidad.

We propose the development of a unique creative process that allows us to approach projects with honesty. We seek to cleanse ourselves of recurring habits; we want to enter from a point that reveals itself—a «point zero»—free of prejudice and open to receiving. This process has granted us freedom in our thinking and our craft; through it, we explore and evaluate. This allows the specific setting to become a powerful voice, providing the answers we need to confront each problem.

Conceptually, it is a «reality bath.» We have called it by various names: spatial exhaustion, sensitive immersion, or creative survey. These are readings of resources, the environment, the territory, human life, and thought.

This approach has become our procedural methodology. We aim to reach the core of the commission so it can develop from its own character. To achieve this, we use tools to read the «authentic,» something discovered through slow evolution. We allow ourselves these windows of time; we examine the circumstantial and contextual aspects that accompany ideas. Subsequently, these ideas converge into substances: through simplification, we reach defining concepts and, based on them, the discovered ideas are empowered.

Direct relationships with those involved nourish our guidance; every experience potentially enriches the proposal. Projects are defined by the complexity of information, uniting a constellation of found ideas. It is always an interpretation of clues with creative coherence.

We are interested in events and occurrences that allow us to elevate ideas. In this journey, we move through two states: ethereal concepts and revealing reality. It is necessary to attend to both, as they provide us with a multitude of ingredients. Both are highly stimulating and function as engines that provide the necessary components to channel ideas. Therefore, we treat these environments as if they were a true «crime scene»: we seek to perform a forensic act in every commission, identifying essential details.

The creative process then becomes a tool that allows us to tell a story—our own narrative—built upon the shared inputs and aspirations of all parties.

There are recognizable data, but there is also information into which we dive to explore the deep, the hidden, and the unknown. Our mission is to unveil, to evidence, and, above all, to understand what we are doing. We are interested in documentation to highlight subtleties, complexities, and specificities, acting as interpreters who accompany the clients’ processes.

Our roles are: dreaming to nourish, listening without pause, conversing to empathize, debating to reveal, drawing to find the hidden, and inhabiting the site to digest it—among other acts we perform from the very point of intervention.

The constant experience of the place is fundamental: being there, inhabiting it. Knowing the context, human logic, constraints, and any facts related to those involved or the region allows us to remain in sync. Therefore, it is imperative to soak up as much information as possible to establish what is substantial. For several years, we have focused on this; recently, we have strengthened these approximation logics and developed them at every opportunity.

It acts as a trigger that opens a range of possibilities, allowing us to navigate architecture in a more holistic way. At times, this approach pushes us to the limits of the discipline, making us think beyond its borders and drawing us closer to other fields. It nourishes and allows our curiosity to flourish.
